Let's create a city where people and business have access to greater transport choices and can access the things they need.

Launceston being mobile and accessible means people across the city can connect to businesses, access services, education, employment and the facilities they need. It requires clever thought about what type of transport we use and when.

Improving the mobility and accessibility of Launceston requires us having improved technology and systems and focusing on community-led design.

Council is faced with the opportunity to align transport and infrastructure more closely, and make sure that we maintain Launceston as a liveable city.

To cleverly plan for new residential and business development while preserving our character and liveability.

The way we design and build our city impacts the look, feel and vibrancy of our city. Launceston is looking to grow. We need good design to make sure that we preserve what makes Launceston special, while inviting more people and investment.

A well-designed and built city is one that provides affordable housing, and ensures everyone has local access to the goods and services, education, transport and jobs they need. It has neighbourhood character that we’re proud of. It’s designed and built to last.
