The next step is to collate responses and present a report to the Council for adoption.

The Draft Bushfire Management Strategy (including maps of all the Reserves) for council owned and managed land is the first phase of updating the process for documenting the City of Launceston's approach to fire management in 34 reserves across the municipality.

This strategy is intended to be a 10 year strategy with minor review at 5 years. It is a high level document that provides guidance and a framework for developing Specific Fire Management Plans for each of the council's reserves. In preparing these plans, the council will invite comment from the community.

While Council welcomes comment on any aspect of the strategy, we are particularly interested in hearing from you on the objectives and strategic actions.
