mmm...trying to complete the community survey - and it abruptly thanked me for completing when I hadnt finished...so the end of the gripe was the amount of trade businesses using disabled parking spaces in shopping centres and hospitals...for between 2 - 8 hrs!!!!! This is an ongoing issue...
Question ...
why are the parking spaces in Franklin ST outside the new NICS building 15 min....you couldnt walk in to any part of the hospital there and be served and walk back to your car in that time! (The parking spaces in the under cover area adjacent are nearly always full with care workers /trade vehicles...the nearby under cover parking is too far for a elderly disabled person to walk considering the distances they have to walk once inside the complex-esp. with multiple appointments). Also once the parking areas undercover are full you cannot get the car doors open to get the patient into the vehicle without putting your vehicle in the access lanes-then you are abused and beeped at by ALL traffic users...so if the Frankland St area outside NICS was 2-4 hrs I could SAFELY get my disabled parent in/out and into the complex because I can get the car door open WITHOUT being abused and it upsetting my parent!!! It is a fortnightly stressful expedition that I am becoming to hate because of the hassle and distress to my parent...we leave the hospital in a worse state than when we arrive...sometime its the trivial things that are actually a major deal in an elderly invalid... maybe the Council could look at it from the elderly/invalid/disabled persons view...I have yet to see a gym junkie/athlete/Olympic contender parking there.........thank you for perusing my gripe-I intend to have a nice day today...I do not have to undertake the LGH parking problem marathon...would love to be able to use the Frankland St. parking spaces outside tho....
