This consultation has concluded.
The Willis Street site has been the focus of proposals by various private interests over the past years.
It is of strategic importance as it is an interface between the Central Area of Launceston (including the CBD) and the Inveresk Precinct.
The Council has commissioned a DRAFT Precinct Plan to provide an effective and informed framework to facilitate new investment and development in the Precinct.
The DRAFT Precinct Plan seeks to provide an integrated urban design and planning framework, consistent with the coordinated form and function of the Central Area, Willis Street and Inveresk Precincts.
